Matthew 7:7

08:29 by Emmanuel Quartey Gallery

This is the seventh chapter of the Gospel according to St. Matthew and it is part of the sermon on the mount. It is an important metaphor about prayer. It reads:

"Ask, and it shall given to you. Seek, and you'll find. Knock, and the door shall be opened to you."

Asking in prayer simply implies, being humble to a superior being who is God to be able to receive anything you want. Seeking is having faith, knowing that whatever you want has already been granted to you, all you need to do is to go for it. However, knocking deals with the fact that, you have to press on and pray for your request to be received in Heaven.
